Airstrip and Bridge Construction

Project description:

Construction of an airstrip, and a bridge to easily access the airstrip, has begun on the mission farm to facilitate better air transport and emergency logistic support of the mission and staff as well as visiting teams and dignitaries. The airstrip is also critical to the work Mercy Air will be doing in providing an air transport service to the broader mission and humanitarian organization community. The synergy of the relationship between Mercy Air and SAM Ministries will greatly enhance our ability to carry out our mission in Mozambique and beyond.

Financial Resources Needed:
Estimated Cost of the bridge - $6,000.00 (this bridge will also enable easy access to the cattle corral which serves our animal traction project training and serving local farmers)

Estimated Cost of the airstrip - $18,000.00

Total Cost is estimated at - $24,000.00

Vehicle Project (Children's Ministry)

UPDATE OCT 20 2009- THE TRUCK HAS BEEN ORDERED!

Praise The Lord! We have ordered the truck, and have enough

funds to cover everything we need including registration

and insurance! Thank you all for you prayers and donations!

Rick and Heather Neufeld's primary area of responsibility

is training pastors to implement effective children's ministry as well as working with the orphan programs. Their work involves a large amount of travel throughout Mozambique on roads that, most often, are very bad. Currently they are driving and older mission vehicle which has over 300,000 kms on the odometer and which is unreliable. A new 4x4 truck is needed to continue their work as well as to provide safe travel for them.

Financial Resources Needed: $65,000

Training Center Construction

Project description:

The construction of this multi-purpose training center is critical in our efforts to train Pastors, Leaders, Health Care workers, Teachers, Orphan care-givers and so many more, as we equip them to love God and love people more effectively.

This is phase 1 (right) of a 5 phase building project to construct a C-shaped training center with classroom, storage and administrative space. The remaining phases will be a kitchen and ablutions, as well as short-term accommodation units for those in training.

Financial Resources Needed:

* Phase 1 Conference Hall and Administration/storage and Office - $ 49,000.00 (Funds Already Donated - Thank you)

* Phase II & III - Classroom Wings and gazebo - Classroom Wings and Gazebo - $ $42,000.00

* Phase IV - Accommodation Village - $26,000.00 (6 Units - $4,500 each)

* Phase V - Kitchen and Bathroom Facilities - $9,000.00

Total Need - $126,000.00

Multi-purpose Training Center Construction Pictures

New Health Post Construction (Mozambique)

Project description:

A health clinic is critical to serve the more than 200 children in the Mucombeze Interior Primary School which is situated in an isolated, rural community in Mozambique. This clinic will also serve the surrounding communities who do not have ready access to health care. Many children suffer needlessly from minor infections and illnesses that could be easily prevented, or treated, if a clinic were located closer to the school.

Plan:

To construct a brick and cement structure (with 3 rooms and a waiting area) adjacent to the school.
